A dental checkup is a thorough examination where your dentist or dental hygienist examines your teeth and the general health of your mouth.

We mainly look for tooth decay, inflammation of the gums and inflammation of the supporting tissue around the teeth (periodontal disease).

Not everything can be seen with the naked eye, which is why we sometimes recommend X-rays to help us find hidden conditions, such as cavities between teeth or under old fillings.

Book an appointment on 3670 7600 or via our online booking.
Please note that it is cheaper if you are a member of Sygeforsikring 'danmark' or if you are 18-25 years old.

The dentist will often deem it necessary to take x-rays of your teeth in order to assess the condition of your teeth and diagnose correctly.

Most of the tooth cannot be seen with the naked eye. X-rays provide a picture of the tooth and the bone of the tooth as a whole.

What is an individual preventive treatment?
IFB stands for individual preventive treatment and is a health insurance benefit that is legally linked to your check-up.

If you have your teeth examined twice or more a year, it is because there is disease activity that should be treated/prevented, such as incipient cavities or gingivitis.
In this case, you will receive this service together with your check-up.

This means that the health insurance does not allow you to receive inspections twice a year without us performing an IFB.

Periodontal disease is an inflammatory condition in which the tissue around the tooth breaks down. It's not the tooth itself that suffers, but disease in the supporting tissue surrounding the tooth. Advanced periodontal disease can cause loose teeth. If you walk around with untreated periodontal disease for many years, you will slowly start to lose your teeth. Periodontal disease comes in different degrees; mild, moderate and severe.
During a periodontal treatment, we measure your gum pockets and take X-rays if needed. We will then give you a thorough dental cleaning and tooth root cleaning.

The price of periodontal treatment is regulated by the collective agreement with the Danish Dental Association and is therefore the same for all dentists in Denmark.
The price varies depending on the extent of your periodontal disease.

You can compare a dental crown to a cap that is placed on top of the weakened tooth to restore the desired function, strength and appearance.

Crowns can be made in gold, a combination of metal and porcelain or pure porcelain. At PLUS1, we make the vast majority of crowns today in the extremely strong material zirconium, possibly with fired porcelain. This gives a beautiful natural result and the crown looks exactly like a natural tooth.
